This coming Monday, December 7, three U.S. Navy SEALs are expected to go before a judge at the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA and plead not guilty for assaulting one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq. Ahmed Hashim Abed is the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. Special Warfare Operators 2nd Class Matthew McCabe and Jonathan Keefe, and Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Julio Huertas all face charges including allegedly punching Abed while he was being detained.

I’m sure all of you agree that this is a complete outrage and mockery of our US Military. As Americans, we CANNOT stand for this and MUST show support for our troops who are constantly being put in harms way to protect the country that is now bringing them under fire.

Amazingly enough, the outpouring support for these 3 SEALs has been absolutely overwhelming as concerned Americans from all over the nation have joined together to speak out against the accusations being brought against these guys. Several support groups on the website Facebook.com have quickly grown over the past week from just a few hundred members to now over 50,000.

So, one evening over the Thanksgiving Holiday, as I was sitting at my computer, I began digging around online to see if anyone was planning any type of rally or protest in the Norfolk area to show their support for these SEALs on Monday, which is coincidentally the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. To my amazement, I could not find a single event being planned. So, without putting much thought into it, I created an event on Facebook called the “Dec 7 Navy SEALs Support Rally – Norfolk, Virginia”. Within the hour, I had people letting me know that they where going to be there and by the time the weekend was over, I had 150+ on board with another 200+ saying maybe. Since then, this event has managed to gain major momentum with current estimates from supporters in the area saying there could be upwards of 500+ people if not hundreds more.

It has been reported that Glenn Beck mentioned this event on his radio program just this morning and I have also received confirmation that Fox News will be sending out a camera crew to cover the rally. Along with Fox News, there will be several other local media outlets there that day.

Through all of this, I have gotten to know some really wonderful Americans out on the east coast who stand behind their soldiers and take pride in their military. I am absolutely honored to have helped get the ball rolling on this event and even more please to see the people of Norfolk step up, take the torch and run with it.

Say it isn’t so… Did SNL just take it to a whole new level? Is the Main Stream Media beginning to see through the Obama B.S.?

In a skit put on by Saturday Night Live over the weekend, it finally looks likes some media outlets, other than Fox News, are beginning to see Obama for what he really is; a joke! After nearly a year of SNL refusing to make us all laugh by poking fun at the President (just as they have done with every other president over the past 30 years), Lorne Michaels and the cast of SNL finally took aim at Barack Obama; and this time the gloves came off.

The sketch was centered on the President’s recent visit to Beijing where he met with Chinese President Hu Jintoa. Right off the bat, President Obama began arrogantly lecturing the Chinese president about the U.S.’s concerns with China by pointing out things like the evaluation of China’s currency, trade imbalance and also human rights. However, President Hu Jintoa quickly fired back in a mockery by thanking Obama for “lecturing him on China’s short comings” while Hu Jintoa brought to light the fact that the U.S. owes China nearly $800 billion. Obama attempted to reassure the Chinese President that he would get his money back by outlining things like how the bailouts have steadied the financial markets and how the stimulus packages have been effective in fixing the job crisis.

The sketch continued to take jabs at the President as things were brought up like how “healthcare reform would lead to enormous savings” and how China’s money was used to purchase “clunkers” through the cash for clunkers program. President Hu Jintoa also made the statement saying that, “If I really wanted to get my money, I guess I could call and say I was a Wall Street banker who needs his bonus”.

The biggest laughs, however, came when President Hu Jintoa asked questions like, “Will you kiss me?”, “Will you treat me to dinner and a movie?”, and last, but not least, “Do I look like Mrs. Obama?”, all followed up by asking the question, if not, then “why are you doing sex to me?”. Making it clear that, along with the American people, China is beginning to feel like they’re being taken advantage of.

I recently received this photo in an email and have no idea of its origin, other than the email said that it was from the November 11, 2009 Veterans Day Ceremony in Washington. I’m sure you can all tell what’s going on in the picture. From all indications the National Anthem is being played because everyone, except President Obama, is either saluting or covering their heart. I’m not sure if this really was taken at the recent Veterans Day Ceremony; however, one thing is for sure, the President is making one hell of a statement by not covering his heart.
